Before you embark on your dental journey with us, you’ll receive a message via WhatsApp with details of your first appointment, which typically takes place the day after your arrival in Istanbul. When you arrive, please make sure you’ve had a meal, brought something to read, and don’t forget to bring your passport.

Your First Visit to Aqua Dental Clinic

When you step into Aqua Dental Clinic, our reception staff will greet you, ask you to fill out some forms, and scan your passport. You’ll then undergo an OPG full mouth X-ray and a 3D X-ray if necessary. While waiting for your dental consultation, you can relax in our clinic’s coffee bar and take advantage of our WiFi. During your consultation, your dentist will review your oral health based on the X-rays. This may reveal additional treatments that were not apparent in your initial photos. After discussing your oral health and treatment options, you and your dentist will agree on a treatment plan and a smile makeover design. Once you’re satisfied and everything is agreed upon, you’ll sign your consent treatment form, and the process of creating your new smile begins.

Starting Your Smile Makeover

We want to ensure your comfort during the procedure, so our dental chairs come with built-in screens, allowing you to listen to your favorite playlist or watch TV shows or movies. It typically takes about two hours to file down your teeth, usually 1mm for laminate veneers and 2mm for full veneers or crowns. This allows the new veneers or crowns to fit over your original teeth. In some cases, for small or worn-down teeth, your new smile design may be made larger to fit your bite correctly. You’ll need to return to the clinic in two days for your next appointment, and we’ll send you a message via WhatsApp with the appointment details.

Your Second Visit to Aqua Dental Clinic – Trial Fit

During this visit, you’ll have a trial fit of your new teeth. Your temporary teeth will be removed, and your new veneers or crowns will be placed on top of your teeth. Multiple dentists may be present during this session to ensure a perfect fit. We must also ensure your bite is correct with your new smile during this trial fit. Therefore, no anesthetic will be administered to maintain your bite’s natural state, which may lead to slight discomfort and sensitivity, but this will be brief, and we can provide effective pain relief afterward. After checking the fit and finalizing any changes you’d like to make to your veneers or crowns, we’ll send your teeth back to our laboratory to complete and polish. Your temporaries will be refitted, and you can continue enjoying your holiday. You’ll return to the clinic in a day or two for your fitting appointment.

Your Third Visit to Aqua Dental Clinic – Final Fit

Once again, you’ll be welcomed by our team and directed to our coffee bar. Your temporary teeth will be removed, and your new veneers or crowns, now sterilized and polished, will be fitted permanently. Local anesthetic will be administered to ensure a painless process. The final fit will involve thorough checks, which will take a few hours, but we’ll make sure to keep you as comfortable as possible with your favorite music or entertainment.
